Position & Responsibilities:

Environmental Monitoring and Compliance, Inc. (EMAC) is an innovative and specialized supplier of leading-edge technologies for automating collection of environmental data.

 

EMAC is looking for an Operations & Project Manager with experience selecting and installing monitoring instruments and communication technologies, supervising technical staff and customer support. The Operations & Project Manager will have overall responsibility for overseeing EMAC Instrumentation projects from monitoring application design, though ordering, installation, service and technical support of leading-edge environmental monitoring techniques and technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Operations: Responsible for sourcing opportunities, program design, bidding and overseeing instrumentation projects.
  2. Operations: Primary point of contact for troubleshooting and technical support calls – internal staff and external customer/client calls.
  3. Operations: Responsible for overall instrumentation project delivery from supplier ordering through coordinating delivery and installation.
  4. Operations: Responsible for invoicing, using EMAC’s 5-point invoicing story process accountable for ensuring all client invoices are supported with 1. A Scope of Supply 2. Quote 3. Purchase Order or Acceptance 4. Field Service Report or Delivery Slip and 5. Confirmation.
  5. Operations: Responsible for managing, coaching and developing Technician Staff.
  6. Research & Development: Working with Business Development and Management, research, evaluate what products and instruments are available for various monitoring applications. Responsible for recommending products & instruments based on Key Success Factors (KSFs) derived for specific applications.
  7. Research & Development: Working with Business Development and Management, develop new products and equipment to address specific challenges instrumenting various monitoring applications.
  8. Support: Working collaboratively with Business Development & Sales on specifying products and equipment for customer centric Quotes.
  9. Support: Participate in Business Development presentations providing technical expertise and installation experience, as required.
  10. Any other reasonably activity required by management.

Do You Have What It Takes?

HIRING REQUIREMENTS (Skills, Abilities, Traits, Characteristics, Experience, Education & Accomplishments):

  • Post-Secondary Diploma (Instrumentation Technology, Civil, Mechanical, Environmental or equivalent)
  • 3 to 5 years remote monitoring / SCADA / Instrumentation experience.
  • Relevant field work experience in construction, civil/mechanical engineering, water/wastewater technology, environmental technology or related fields.
  • Effective trouble-shooting skills resolving technical issues
  • Organized and self-motivated individual with initiative and attention to detail.
  • Outgoing, friendly, team-player
  • Tech-savvy with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to client satisfaction and the delivery of high-quality work product.
  • Valid driver’s license and Confined Space Entry Certification.
  • Additional related certifications are an asset
  • Understanding of AutoCAD is an asset
